Connor 6 Months Old

Happy "half" year old Connor! Still cannot believe he is already 6 months old! Why is time flying by so fast?! He continues to steal our heart everyday. Connor is the most happy and loving baby I have ever seen. Always has a smile on his face and so snuggly! I just love him and his sweet smile!

Connor had those mean ol' shots again this month :( He actually did really good and barely even cried! Such a big boy. The after affects this time were miserable though. He ran fever the entire next day and got up to 103! Scared mama! He got the shots on Wednesday and really didn't start feeling better until Sunday. It was pitiful how bad he felt. He definitely was not his happy self for those few days.

At 6 months old, Connor is:
  • 17 pounds 3 ounces
  • 26.5 inches
  • head circumference - 95th percentile!!
  • Eats 6 oz formula (still Nutramagen) and 2-3 tbsp solids 2x/day
  • Solids include sweet potatoes, squash, pears, apples, bananas, avocado, cereal, and most recently green peas. He is not a picky eater so far. Keeping my fingers crossed!
  • Sleeps 10 hours
  • 4 naps a day
  • Wearing size 3 diapers
  • Wearing 6-9 month clothing
  • Teething still but no signs of a tooth
  • Sitting up on his own!
  • Babbling! Soo cute! "ba ba ba da da da"
  • Definitely saying more consonants
  • Scooting and rolling everywhere
  • Putting his paci back in his mouth on his own
  • Eczema all over his body :( using Cetaphyl which is soap free and fragrance free body wash and cream. It's seems to be working so far.

Of course we had Connor a "Half" birthday party with cake! He loved it!!

Connor 5 Months Old

Connor is 5 months old! He has had quite a few "firsts" this month. Connor has been on 2 beach trips so far this summer! He loved his first one to Destin when he was 4 months and has gone again at 5 months to Grayton Beach/Seaside. We had so much fun with him along with my sister and Leah and her girls. Connor also had his first boat ride this month. He even has his own little life jacket :) We thought it was cute, but he didn't agree. The first time we put it on him he screamed! Poor thing couldn't move in it. But the next time we tried, he wore it and fell asleep on the boat. He got to see his first firework show for the 4th of July at Big Bay as well. He didn't think too much of that and mainly slept through it since it was so late. Connor also got his first pool experience! He absolutely loves the pool and chillin out in his float! He kicks and splashes and has the biggest smile on his face in the pool. It's so cute! We definitely have a little water baby on our hands! (Which is a good thing since we love the water!) He is loving his "real" food, too! He has tried sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, pears, apples, carrots, avocado, and rice cereal with apple juice. He loves the sweet foods, especially sweet potatoes.

At 5 months old, Connor is:

  • 16.5 pounds
  • 26 inches
  • Eating 6 oz formula 5x/day and 2 tbsp solids 2x/day. He is still on Nutramigen :(
  • Sleeping 8-10 hours at night. Usually goes to bed around 8:00 pm and wakes up around 6:00 am
  • Still naps 3-4 times a day. Most are only 20-30 min long with 1 usually 1-2 hours around lunch
  • Wears size 2 diapers
  • Wears 3-6 months clothes
  • Holding his own bottle when laying down
  • Almost sitting up on his own. Can sit for a few seconds until he reaches for a toy then falls over.
  • Rolling all over the place!
  • Trying to crawl as he swings and kicks his arm and legs while on his belly
  • Likes looking at himself in the mirror
  • Very ticklish belly!
  • Laughs all of the time
  • Transferring toys from 1 hand to the other
  • Loves standing in his exersaucer and playing with all of the toys

Connor 4 Months Old

Ok, time needs to stop because these special days with Connor are flying by way to fast! I am in shock that he is already 4 months old! I'm sure I will say that every month from now but I just never imagined Connor would grow this fast! We had his 4 month check up today... Which means 4 month shots! He was so happy the entire visit until that needle hit his little leg then he screamed like I have never heard him scream before! It was so sad!! Felt like my heart was ripped in half just watching the pain on his face and tears streaming down his face. Poor baby! Prior to the shots, his dr checked him out and found that he had double ear infections. Here we go with Brad's history of so many sets of tubes because of his ear infections! Connor also has some dry patches of skin which he gets from both of us! Sorry Connor! It looks like we are going to get to experience what our mothers went thru with ear infections, dry skin, and allergies!

We are able to start giving Connor cereal, veggies, and fruit now that he is 4 months old. I tried rice cereal mixed with his formula today. Hilarious! His facial expressions were priceless...trying to figure out what the spoon was and what in the world I was feeding him! He didn't like it too much after he figured out it was food.  I plan on trying to make his baby food when start trying the fruits and veggies so this should be fun! Can't wait to watch his facial expressions with the different types of foods!

Dr also instructed us to try the Gentlease formula again because his stomach should be able to tolerate it now that he is older. WRONG! I gave him 2 ounces this past weekend and his little tummy hurt all day long. Either he really does have an allergy to cows milk or he is just sensitive to the new kind of formula...either way, we are sticking to this expensive stuff! He also told us we could try to get him off the Zantac, but I still give him some every now and then when I feel like he needs it.

At 4 months, Connor is
- 14.2 pounds
- 25 inches long
- 17 inches head circumference
- In the 20th percentile for height and weight
- Sleeping through the night. Still in Rock and Play, for now.
- Eating 6-7 oz of formula
- Rolled from his back to his tummy!! Big milestone!
- Brings toys to midline and past midline
- Almost sitting up on his own!
- Sitting in bumbo for short periods of time
- Stands in exersaucer at daycare
- Wears size 2 diapers
- Watches Brad and I every where we go
- Much more aware of Nola and watches him too!
- Likes to pull Nola's hair! And mine!
- Talks all the time now! Ahhs, babbles, laughs, and squeals!
- Imitates my facial expressions
- Loves sticking his tongue out and sucking on it
- Loves blowing spit bubbles
- Tries to hold his bottle and put his paci in his mouth

My first Mother's Day! Mom and Jen came down to visit and play with Connor. Then we had celebrated Mother's Day with The Cornett's the following day for mine and Whitney's first Mother's Day! What a great and blessed weekend :)

We had our first family beach trip with Connor and Michael Brian this Memorial Day weekend in Destin! They were by far the cutest babies on the beach! ;) They both did so well on the beach. We were even able to lay out and relax while they slept under the umbrella. We tried dipping Connor's feet in the water and in the sand..he wasn't too sure about it at first but after a few times he liked it :) Hello beach baby!! Can't wait to take him back!
