Meet Nola!
Our maltese, Nola, is our only "child"...at this stage in our life anyway :) He is tiny ball of fur with a lot of spunk! Nola was born on May 4, 2010 and is 4 months old now, but we got him when he was 10 weeks old. I had been wanting a small maltese for about a year before I finally found Nola on Facebook through a friend. I saw pics of him, along with his 3 brothers and sister at 4-5 weeks old and fell in love. I had to go see them! I actually went in search of a girl but when I met them the solid white runt out of the bunch stole my eye. I had to go back 3 different times before I could make up my mind between the girl or the little runt! Who know picking out a puppy could be so difficult?! So after bringing Brad with me for the 3rd time, we finally made a decision and brought Nola home!
I could not have asked for a better puppy. He has the sweetest little personality and loves to be cuddled and held. He was even potty trained at 10 weeks which is unheard of, especially for a boy! He has definitely stolen my heart, and now I could not imagine my life without him!
Although he is a boy, I call him my "girly-dog boy" so I have an excuse to dress him up! He is just way to cute not dress up! :) His favorite outfit (well, my favorite outfit) is his Drew Brees Saints jersey. We love the New Orleans Saints which is the reason why we named him Nola.

A Quick Recap of Our Wedding Day
On April 24, 2010 I married my best friend. Brad and I met while we were in college at the University of Southern Mississippi. Funny story about us is that we never dated while we were actually in college and we honestly have no idea how or when we met! So anyway, after graduation in 07' I moved to Mobile for occupational therapy school and Brad began to call me out of no where to come work for him at The Bottling Company in Hattiesburg. I, of course, said yes because I would do anything to get away from Mobile/school on the weekends and come to Hattiesburg to see all of my friends. So then this led to that and here we are now! We were married in Hattiesburg at Temple Baptist Church and the reception was at the Historic Downtown Train Depot. It was beautiful!! Everything and more than what I could have ever dreamed of!
We could not have asked for a better wedding party! The majority of our friends all went to college together so everyone pretty much knew everyone so when it came to throwing a party and having a good time they knew how to do it. We danced the night away at our reception to our awesome band "The Rhythms" who even learned the Dave Matthews Band song "You and Me" for Our First Dance.
Our rehearsal dinner was at the one and only place where it all began...The Bottling Company. Our decorators were amazing and created a very rustic but elegant atmosphere which fit the "The BoCo" perfect since it is actually an old coca cola bottling plant that had been restored. After the rehearsal dinner, Greystreet, a Dave Matthews Band cover band played... it was pretty much one of the best nights of my life!

Oh yeah, so not only did we celebrate our wedding day on this special day, but we also celebrated Brad's grandmother's 79th birthday! We surprised her with a bucket of crawfish shaped cake just for this special "Cajun Mary" which she is known for! She was so happy :)

Hello!
I can't believe I am actually starting a blog! I love reading people's blogs and getting ideas for decorating, cooking, etc. but never thought I would actually do one myself. But then I thought, this is a great way for me to share with my friends and family about what all is going on in my life. I also thought it would be a neat way for my husband and I to be able to look back 5 years from now and reminence on all of our memories we have made as newlyweds! We got married on April 24, 2010, so a little over a year and a half ago, and it has been such an awesome journey to see us both grow, not only in our careers, but also in our marriage. I am an occupational therapist at Wesley Medical Center where I treat primarily neurologically impaired patients in our outpatient rehab department and also work PRN at a local skilled nursing facility. Brad recently opened up his own restaurant with his brother on May 16, 2011 which is called 2 Brothers Grill. This has been a life long goal for my husband, and I am so proud of him and all of his hard work to get to where he is now..even though he works his crazy restaurant hours and I barely see him! But, I know his long hours will be so worth it in the end. We have a 4 month old maltese named Nola who is tiny ball of fur weighing only 4 pounds and who we both love and love to spoil! We love spending time with our family and friends, traveling (especially many vacays to New Olreans),Dave Matthews Band concerts, photography, Southern Miss tailgating, and just living life to its fullest. So, with all of the things going on in our busy lives, I am going to attempt to stay up to date with our blog so bear with me and enjoy!
